Robinson Waste Services is a locally owned, independent waste company serving Northern Utah for over 30 years. The company founder, Steve Robinson, learned the value of hard work early from his father. From dumping garbage cans as a young boy to running the business alongside his father, Steve grew to know the intricacies of running a successful business.

Steve started his business with only one truck and steadily grew to a full-scale residential and commercial waste collection operation. Today, Robinson Waste services 6 counties and multiple cities along the Wasatch Front with comprehensive residential, commercial, industrial and construction waste and recycling services.

Job Description

Applicant should have knowledge of safety protocols, and the procedures used to control heavy equipment with coordination to use all controls on pieces of equipment. Must have ability to remain stationary in the seat or operating area of the equipment for prolonged periods. Problem-solving skills to diagnose issues with equipment with strong oral communication skills to interact with other workers on the jobsite. Basic writing skills to accurately complete reports and other paperwork. Must have a minimum of 2 years’ operating experience on an excavator or equivalent equipment.

· Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Full-time, minimum 40 hours per week with ability to work overtime when needed.

· Loading and unloading material for transport.

· Inspecting equipment before and after use to ensure it is in good working order.

· Driving and controlling heavy equipment to complete tasks at the construction site.

· Monitoring performance and adjusting settings as required to perform task correctly.

· Tracking scheduled maintenance of equipment and notifying their supervisor if maintenance is past due.

· Filling out vehicle inspection records to report problems with equipment and compliance with company policies.

· Maintain a safe, organized working environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
