Heavy Equipment Operator – Well Services

Excavator & Skid Steer Required | Dozer Preferred

Reports To: Field Supervisor / Well Services Foreman

Position Overview

Growing Seasons Landscaping (GSL) is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Well Services Division. This role requires minimum excavator and skid steer experience in oil & gas environments. Operators must be safety-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working on active well sites. Bulldozer experience is preferred but not required.

This position supports pad construction, access roads, site restoration, and related well-site operations.

What Youll Be Doing

• Operate excavators and skid steers for:
  • Pad construction and maintenance
  • Trenching and backfilling
  • Roadway and access improvements
  • Site restoration and grading
• Work on active and reclaimed well sites following strict safety protocols
• Perform daily equipment inspections, greasing, and basic maintenance
• Communicate with foremen and crew to execute daily job plans
• Assist ground crew as needed to keep production moving
• Maintain a clean, compliant, and safe worksite at all times

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years operating excavators and skid steers
• Experience in oil & gas, utilities, heavy civil, or industrial site work
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety and hazard awareness
• Ability to pass required drug screening and background checks
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to climb on/off equipment multiple times per day
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort working around heavy equipment, uneven terrain, and industrial sites
