Heavy Equipment Rental Coordinator

We are looking for a rental coordinator to help with all customer support throughout the entire rental process. This position acts as an inside salesperson, handling transactions for customers over the phone and face-to-face. This position is critical in ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing machine utilization.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages the daily operations of renting machinery, serving as the primary contact for customers, sales, and logistics. They process contracts, schedule deliveries, and ensure equipment availability. This fast-paced role requires technical understanding of construction equipment, strong customer service.
  • Provide superior customer service, determining customers’ needs to further assist them, and handle customer complaints in a professional manner while offering solutions to their problem.
  • Check availability of equipment with the shop, and schedule maintenance to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure equipment is delivered and picked up on time to meet the customer’s needs.
  • Administer rental agreements, including rental out and in dates.
  • Return the equipment in the system by verifying hours and if fuel is needed.
  • Log daily phone calls and customers interactions.
  • Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management
  • Build quotes
  • Coordinates billing process

Required Qualifications/Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills and a competitive nature
  • Computer skills to include Internet Explorer, Excel, Access, Word, Power point
  • Must be able to comprehend, speak and write the English language
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the telephone
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Must be highly organized in a fast-paced work environment
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Customer service, front desk
  • Knowledge of Spanish language (not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule:

  • 8-9 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • 7:30a.m - 5p.m
  • Pay will be based on experience

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Phone etiquette: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Leadership: 1 year (Preferred)

Language:

  • English (Preferred)
  • Spanish

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)
