Heavy Equipment Service Technician (Shop)

The Heavy Equipment Service Technician is responsible for high quality and effective maintenance and repair of Vermeer construction equipment. This role requires a high degree of problem solving and a can-do attitude.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Inspects, maintains and repairs equipment
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses cause of equipment malfunctions and failures; ability to hookup to machines and diagnose using software
• Identifies needed parts for repairs
• Writes and communicates clear repair narratives
• Maintains detailed records for time, parts and supplies
• Interacts with customers and co-workers on a daily basis
• Maintains a clean and tidy workspace
• Follows all safety guidelines and company procedures

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Mechanical background or schooling in diesel mechanics.
• Minimum of 4years of experience repairing construction or similar equipment
• Must have experience with hydraulic , electrical, electronics and pneumatical systems
• Must own personal tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.89 per hour
