Heavy Haul Dispatcher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Heavy Haul Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating the movement of oversized and heavy equipment. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to analyze data effectively, and the ability to pivot on plans when changes arise.

Responsibilities

• Route Planning - determine the most efficient and legal routes for heavy haul shipments.
• Load Assignment - assign loads to appropriate drivers and equipment based on their capabilities and experience.
• Scheduling - develop driver schedules ensuring timely and efficient operations.
• Issue Resolution - address any issues that arise during transportation.

Experience

• Previous experience in trucking dispatch is required.
• Understanding of heavy haul regulations, equipment, and procedures is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data related to transportation planning.
• Proficient in using GPS technology for route optimization.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on professional phone etiquette.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
