What You Will Do (Essential Functions)

• Fleet Dispatch & Scheduling: Act as the main line of communication for your driver team. Schedule, dispatch, and monitor their routes via GPS to ensure safe, efficient travel with no unauthorized stops.
• Load Board Management: Rapidly respond to Customer Service Requests within 10 minutes. Utilize software to manage the entire load lifecycle (Available → Planned → Dispatched → Delivered) to initiate timely billing.
• Specialized Logistics Coordination: Order permits (or coordinate with the Permit Clerk), book pilot cars, maintain escort COIs, and send trailer build and rigging requests to ensure drivers have the specialized equipment they need.
• Driver Leadership: Serve as the immediate first point of contact in the driver chain of command. Learn driver capabilities using our checklist, assist with technical loading/unloading questions, and support after-hours repairs or incident procedures if required.
• Quality Assurance: Cross-check load sheets against software data, verify all rigging details, and immediately alert Customer Service Representatives of any delays, damages, or changes.

What We Are Looking For

• Heavy Haul Experience: Proven experience in specialized transport, heavy equipment logistics, or heavy haul dispatching.
• Tech-Savvy Skills: Experience with transportation management software (TMS), GPS tracking systems, and digital spreadsheets.
• Permit & Rigging Knowledge: Familiarity with oversize/overweight permitting, pilot car coordination, and specialized rigging equipment requirements.
• High-Speed Execution: Ability to work under pressure and hit strict timelines
• Strong Communication: Clear, decisive verbal and written communication skills to direct drivers, collaborate with shop managers, and update customer service teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
