HEAVY HAUL TRUCK DRIVER

Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Haul Truck Driver and take charge of transporting oversized, specialized loads across diverse routes! This energetic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Duties

• Safely operate heavy-duty trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight across designated routes
• Load and unload cargo with precision using forklifts or other equipment when necessary
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Plan and follow efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to all safety regulations
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation laws
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving, including commercial driving and route driving with heavy loads
• Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and various heavy equipment such as forklifts and dump trucks
• Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met
• Familiarity with load securing techniques specific to heavy haul operations
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols for tractor-trailers and specialized trucks
• Excellent driving record with experience in delivering freight reliably over long distances
