Job Title: Heavy Machine Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Machine Mechanic to join our marine operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems on dredging vessels and related equipment to ensure smooth and continuous operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on dredgers and marine equipment
• Diagnose mechanical faults in engines, pumps, hydraulic systems, and gearboxes
• Ensure all machinery is operating efficiently and safely
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance as per schedule
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports
• Coordinate with the operations team for timely repairs and minimal downtime
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a mechanic in dredging, marine, or heavy equipment industry
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and mechanical systems
• Experience working on cutter suction dredgers / trailing suction hopper dredgers is preferred
• Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work offshore / on rotation basis

Preferred Qualifications:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 2-3 years relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of marine safety practices

Pay: RO300.000 - RO400.000 per month
