Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, exempt position supporting heavy maintenance operations across multiple locations.

While standard business hours are typically Monday through Friday, this role requires a high degree of flexibility to meet operational demands. Work hours are driven by aircraft maintenance schedules, MRO production timelines, and program priorities, rather than a fixed daily schedule.

The Heavy Maintenance Technical Representative is expected to:

  • Work extended hours as required to support active maintenance events
  • Support nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary
  • Align work schedules with third-party MRO shifts and critical path activities
  • Be available for on-call support during heavy maintenance events and aircraft recovery situations

This position requires a results-driven approach, where workload and presence are dictated by maintenance execution and aircraft delivery requirements.

Hybrid

Work Environment
This position operates in a dynamic, multi-location environment with primary duties performed at third-party Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities, aircraft hangars, and operational ramp locations. Limited work may be performed in office or remote settings for coordination, planning, and reporting.

The role routinely involves:

  • Working in aircraft hangars, maintenance docks, and active airfield environments
  • Exposure to high noise levels, moving equipment, aircraft systems, and industrial hazards
  • Operating in non-climate-controlled environments, including extreme heat, cold, humidity, and varying weather conditions
  • Performing work in confined spaces, elevated work platforms, and around large aircraft structures

Physical requirements include:

  • Standing and walking for extended periods
  • Climbing ladders, maintenance stands, and aircraft structures
  • Bending, kneeling, crawling, and reaching overhead
  • Lifting and carrying up to approximately 50 pounds

This role requires close, continuous coordination with:

  • Third-party MRO personnel
  • Maintenance technicians and inspectors
  • Engineering, logistics, and quality teams

The Heavy Maintenance Technical Representative is expected to maintain a strong on-site presence during active maintenance events, providing direct oversight, technical leadership, and real-time decision-making in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Travel

Travel is a core component of this role and is expected to average approximately 50%, depending on assignment and maintenance schedule.

Travel requirements are driven by active heavy maintenance events, aircraft inputs, and program priorities, and may vary based on operational demand. Occasional increases in travel may be required to support critical maintenance activities, aircraft recovery efforts, or schedule changes.

Travel includes both domestic and international assignments, often for extended durations aligned with heavy maintenance events.
