Heavy Transportation Coordinator

Transportation Operations Management:

Manage and oversee all day-to-day transportation activities (local & GCC deliveries).

Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure cost-effective and timely shipments.

Coordinate with drivers, fleet supervisors, and warehouse teams for smooth dispatch and receiving.

Ensure vehicle maintenance schedules, RTA compliance, and documentation are up to date.

Monitor fuel usage, driver performance, and delivery KPIs.

Resolve any operational disruptions, delays, or customer delivery issues quickly and efficiently.

Sales & Business Development:

Identify and approach potential clients requiring transportation or distribution services.

Develop customized transportation and 3PL solutions based on customer needs.

Prepare and submit commercial proposals and quotations.

Build strong relationships with key decision-makers to secure new contracts.

Follow up on leads, conduct client visits, and close new business opportunities.

Collaborate with the marketing and BD team to promote services and generate inbound inquiries.

Customer Relationship Management:

Act as the main point of contact for existing transportation clients.

Ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met or exceeded.

Resolve client complaints or service issues promptly.

Upsell value-added services such as cold storage, cross-docking, or customs clearance.

Cost Control & Reporting:

Monitor transportation costs and recommend cost-saving initiatives.

Evaluate and negotiate with subcontracted transport providers when needed.

Provide regular reports on transport utilization, delivery success rate, and revenue performance.

Support the finance team in ensuring accurate billing for transportation services.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure all transportation activities comply with JAFZA, RTA, and UAE regulatory requirements.

Maintain and implement safety protocols for drivers and transport staff.

Oversee transport documentation including PODs, trip sheets, and customer delivery confirmations.
