Heavy Truck Driver

Job Description

Loading, driving and delivering products to the customer through Company trucks in a safe and efficient manner; ensuring integrity of high quality and quantity.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Safely operate heavy trucks to transport goods, materials, and equipment between locations, ensuring timely delivery to customers.

· Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and its equipment to ensure roadworthiness and safety.

· Manage the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring it's properly secured to prevent damage or shifting during transport.

· Perform routine vehicle maintenance and minor repairs to keep the truck in reliable working order.

· Adhere to all UAE/GCC traffic laws, road safety regulations, company policies, and rules regarding vehicle weight, size, and route designations.

· Effectively communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to provide updates on deliveries, report issues, and receive new instructions.

· Maintain accurate logs of working hours, delivery details, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.

Skills & Qualifications

· Valid GCC/UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License (Classes 3, 4, 5).

· A minimum of 2-5 years of experience driving heavy vehicles in the UAE / GCC is required.

· A clean driving record with no major accidents or excessive fines is necessary.

· Strong navigation skills and the ability to use GPS systems are important for planning efficient routes.

· Good English and Arabic speaking and writing skills are required for effective communication.

· The ability to handle physical tasks like loading and unloading cargo is needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
