Position Overview

A Heavy Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using heavy vehicles, such as lorries, trailers, and articulated trucks. This role is crucial in logistics, construction, and supply chain operations, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to traffic and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation: Drive heavy trucks, including trailers and articulated vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Cargo Management: Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Route Planning: Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks to ensure vehicle safety and functionality.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and cargo logs.
• Compliance: Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Communication: Coordinate with dispatchers, clients, and warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• License: Valid UAE Category 4 (Heavy Truck/ 3Ton Truck) driving license.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience driving heavy trucks in the UAE or GCC region.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE road networks and traffic regulations.
• Skills: Basic mechanical knowledge for minor repairs and troubleshooting.
• Language: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi is an advantage.
