We are looking for a self motivated individual that can take on assigned work orders and complete repairs as needed. Most of the work will be on dump trucks, concrete mixer trucks, road tractors, and trailers. We also have other heavy equipment that this individual may be asked to help work on. Most work will take place in the shop, however if a truck is broke down on the road, may require road assistance. We work within 75 miles of our shop so these trips would be local. A class A or B CDL would be preferable for this project so that the mechanic can verify trucks are in working order, but not rquired.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, brake shoes, wheel bearings and seals, etc.
- Diagnose and repair various automotive issues, such as engine problems, electrical malfunctions, and brake failures
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or replacements
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze vehicle systems and identify faults
- Follow safety procedures and guidelines when working with automotive components and equipment
- Keep accurate records of all repairs, services, and maintenance performed on vehicles and trailers
Skills:
- Proficient in electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of industrial equipment maintenance and repair
- Experience with heavy equipment operation
- Familiarity with power tools used in automotive repair
- Understanding of tractor-trailer systems, including air brakes
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams
- Knowledge of hydraulics systems and repairs
- Expertise in brake repair and maintenance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
