Job Summary

A Heavy Vehicle Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles and construction equipment such as trucks, trailers, buses, excavators, loaders, and cranes.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in heavy vehicles.

Repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, transmissions, and suspensions.

Perform preventive maintenance and periodic servicing.

Inspect vehicles for safety and operational performance.

Replace defective parts and components.

Use diagnostic tools and workshop equipment properly.

Maintain service records and repair reports.

Follow company safety standards and workshop procedures.

Requirements

Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive/Mechanical Engineering.

3-5 years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic.

Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems.

Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.

GCC/Qatar experience preferred.

Good troubleshooting and teamwork skills.
