Role: Hedging Specialist - Base Metals

Are you a strategic thinker with a sharp eye for market volatility? We are a leading base metals trading firm looking for a Hedging Specialist to manage our physical exposure, optimize our trading strategies, and protect our bottom line in the fast-paced global market.

In this role, you won't just be executing trades; you’ll be the architect of our risk mitigation framework, ensuring our physical books are perfectly balanced against market fluctuations.

Key Responsibilities

• Risk Assessment & Strategy: Analyze physical exposures across various base metal portfolios and assist in hedging strategies to mitigate price risk.
• Trade Execution: Perform the execution of hedging derivatives and manage speculative trading activities
• Broker Optimization: Manage and evaluate broker relationships to ensure competitive pricing, superior execution quality, and optimal margin efficiency.
• Risk & PnL Management: Assist in PnL exposure reporting. Monitor daily market movements and provide real-time updates on the impact to the firm’s financial position.
• Strategic Reporting: Act as a key advisor to senior management by preparing monthly, quarterly, and year-end projections. You will provide the data-driven insights and recommendations that shape our long-term trading roadmap.
