Help Desk Technician

As a Help Desk Technician, you will be the backbone of our IT support, ensuring our team—from the corporate office to the production floor—has the tools they need to manufacture life-saving medical components. This role is perfect for a tech-savvy problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, regulated environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support to end users across hardware, software, and access-related issues
  • Manage and maintain the IT help desk ticketing system, ensuring timely response and resolution of requests
  • Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, and chat
  • Provision and maintain user accounts, permissions, and basic security configurations
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, applications, and operating systems
  • Assist with desktop imaging, software deployment, and patching (SCCM or similar tools)
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment, including tracking, setup, and lifecycle management
  • Support and troubleshoot basic phone system issues
  • Assist with IT support for production and manufacturing systems (e.g., barcode scanners, labeling systems, shop floor PCs)
  • Document processes, solutions, and common issues for knowledge sharing

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a Help Desk or IT support role
  • Associate degree in IT or related field, or equivalent work experience/certifications
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to support users at all technical levels
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
  • Familiarity with Windows environments, Microsoft 365, and endpoint management tools (SCCM or similar preferred)

Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and move throughout the facility as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CompTIA A+ or similar industry certifications
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
