Hematology/Oncology Physician

Shift:

• Monday Friday, 08:00 AM 05:00 PM
  

Description:

• This position involves providing care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including consults and an infusion center.
• Call responsibilities are shared among a call pool, with APP support available during after-hours coverage.
• No weekend coverage is required.
• The patient population includes adults and geriatrics.
• The practice mix is primarily hematology, with more than 90% of cases focused on benign and malignant hematologic conditions and less than 10% oncology.
• Average daily hospital rounding volume is 10 to 15 patients.
  Outpatient clinic volume averages approximately 15 patients per day.
• The team includes six physicians, five inpatient APPs covering two hospitals, and six outpatient APPs.
  Onsite radiation oncology support is available.
• The practice uses Epic EMR for documentation.
  The clinical focus is on both malignant and benign hematology, with benign cases being more prevalent.
• Exposure to solid tumor cases is possible but not the main focus.
  
  

Experience:

• Prior experience in adult and geriatric hematology and oncology preferred

License:

• Active Michigan Medical License preferred (will consider candidates needing licensure)

Certifications:

• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology and BLS Certification required

Must-Have:

• Experience with FNA/Biopsy procedures and comfort managing both benign and malignant hematology cases
