Hemp/Cannabis Vendor Relations & Sales Consultant (Contract)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Vendor Relations & Sales Consultant with industry experience and established connections across the hemp and cannabis retail landscape. This is a flexible, part-time contract position designed to help identify potential buyers, collaborators, and partners, as well as support ongoing business development and outreach initiatives.

The ideal consultant understands the dynamics between retailers, distributors, and brands — and enjoys bridging those relationships in a mutually beneficial way.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and engage hemp and cannabis retailers, processors, or brands that may wish to purchase products from us and/or form strategic partnerships.
• Research and track market trends, competitive positioning, and brand values within the cannabis and wellness industries.
• Support the preparation of outreach materials, product lists, and correspondence.
• Maintain organized contact records and simple progress updates in shared documents or CRM tools.
• Represent our values of sustainability, authenticity, and professionalism in all communications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in hemp or cannabis retail, purchasing, distribution, or brand partnerships.
• Established or growing network of contacts in the cannabis and hemp space.
• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through.
• Self-motivated, reliable, and comfortable working remotely.
• Familiarity with digital tools for outreach, CRM, or scheduling (Google Workspace, HubSpot, Airtable, etc.).
• Prior sales or vendor management experience preferred.

Compensation & Structure

• Contract position (1099)
• 10–20 hrs/week to start, flexible schedule
• Hourly + bonus opportunities
• Potential to transition to a longer-term or permanent role depending on performance and company growth
