HGV C+E Hiab driver

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV C+E Hiab driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, specialising in flatbed deliveries using a Hiab crane. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving and delivery operations. Duties

• Operate HGV C+E lorries equipped with Hiab cranes for loading and unloading goods
• Conduct pre-journey safety inspections of the vehicle and equipment
• Deliver goods to specified locations in a timely and professional manner, ensuring compliance with traffic regulations
• Secure loads on flatbed trailers appropriately to prevent movement during transit
• Assist with the loading and unloading process using the Hiab crane, adhering to safety protocols
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment at all times

Skills

• Valid HGV C+E licence with up-to-date CPC certification
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles and Hiab cranes
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
• Ability to operate a Hiab crane safely and efficiently
• Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively
• Physical fitness to handle loading, unloading, and manoeuvring heavy loads
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.00-£16.00 per hour
