HGV CLASS 1 CONTAINER DRIVER

Job Summary
We're looking for experienced and professional HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers with Container collections and deliveries background, to be based out of Ipswich. Key Skills and Qualifications to succeed in this role:

Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence

Driver CPC and Digital Tacho Card

Proven experience in container transport and port operations (Felixstowe experience desirable)

RHIDES card

A strong focus on safety and compliance

Ability to work independently and take responsibility

Good communication skills

Key duties & Responsibilities:

Transporting freight containers to and from Port of Felixstowe and other ports to consignees.

Completing direct container and trailer deliveries

Conducting daily vehicle and trailer checks, ensuring roadworthiness at all times

Accurately completing pre-drive inspection reports

Ensuring loads are distributed safely and legally

Driving responsibly with consideration for other road users and the public

Maintaining your vehicle to a clean and professional standard

Following all Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations

Adhering to Company Health & Safety procedures and site safety rules

Wearing appropriate PPE and reporting any accidents or near misses
