HGV Class 1 DAY trunk Driver

Job Overview
Palletways Bournemouth are an owned operations depot, owned by Palletways UK -the largest pallet network in Europe. We are seeking a professional and reliable C1 Driver to join our delivery/collection team. The successful candidate will be predominately day trunking to and from Fradley Hub ensuring network deadline is met whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a focus on commercial driving. Candidates must possess a valid driving licence and CPC. This role is monday to friday approx. 05.00am start daily from Hurn airport - no tramping.

50hr guaranteed pay (£15.44p/h)+ overtime + saturday rota

Duties

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in optimal condition.
• Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Communicate effectively with operations staff
• Comply with all legal requirements related to commercial driving

Skills

• Proven experience as a commercial driver, minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members professionally.
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when necessary, along with good attention to detail for vehicle inspections. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who want to join an industry-leading company,

Pay: £40,144.00-£45,000.00 per year
