Casual /Temporary / Part-Time HGV Class 1 Driver

We are a well-established and busy family-run steel fabrication and erection company based in Dundee. We are currently looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a casual, temporary, part-time basis, supporting deliveries and collections across Scotland as required.

This role offers flexible working hours ( Monday to Friday only) to suit project demands and would suit someone looking for part-time or occasional work. Competitive rates of pay are available depending on experience. Potential for the role to be permanent.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Delivering structural steelwork to various sites throughout Scotland using artic lorries and 45’ trailers.
• Loading steelwork onto trailers using overhead cranes.
• Unloading steel deliveries at our workshop premises using overhead cranes.
• Delivering and collecting materials and orders using a transit van.
• Following all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Assisting with other duties as required.

Skills and Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence.
• Previous experience handling structural steelwork preferred.
• Flexible, reliable and willing to support the team when needed.
• Ability to use, or willingness to learn to use, overhead cranes (training provided).
• Availability for occasional early starts or later finishes depending on workload.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
