HGV Class 1 Driver – Night Tramper (Amazon & Reefer)

About Us

At DAKIA, we are an active, growing transport company providing top-tier haulage services. We are currently looking for a highly reliable and flexible HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team for a dedicated night tramping role, focusing specifically on Amazon and refrigerated transport.

The Role

This is a tramping role operating on night shifts, moving Amazon box trailers and refrigerated (reefer) units across the UK. Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:

• Night Driving & Tramping: Completing night shift driving routes and sleeping in the cab.

• Trailer Management: Safely coupling, uncoupling, and transporting Amazon and reefer trailers.

• Self-Tipping: Unloading your own trailer (self-tipping) may be required at certain delivery locations.

• Flexible Scheduling: Adapting to shift requirements to keep the supply chain moving during peak times.

What We’re Looking For

• Ultimate Flexibility (Essential): Because of the nature of the freight, the ability and willingness to cover Bank Holidays and weekends is an absolute must for this position.

• Licenses & Certifications: A valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category CE) license, an up-to-date Driver CPC, and a valid Digital Tachograph card.

• Experience: Previous experience hauling Amazon loads or working with temperature-controlled (reefer) trailers is highly desirable, though not strictly mandatory for the right driver.

• Reliability: A strong work ethic, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently on the road.
