HGV Class 1 Driver tramper

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 Driver to join our Specialist logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent standards of vehicle operation. Duties

• Operating flatbed, Extendable, Full steer trailers, Step frames, Wafer deck trailers with abnormal loads in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Plan routes, work with Escort Company's + Police forces efficiently to meet delivery schedules
• Load and unload goods carefully, ensuring proper securing of cargo during transit
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with office regarding delivery status and any unforeseen delays
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations at all times during operations

Requirements

• Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving, with a clean driving record
• Proven experience with flatbed trailers and abnormal loads or similar vehicles
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving
• Ability to operate Extendable + Rear steer trailers safely and efficiently
• Excellent organisational skills to manage schedules and routes effectively
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road
• Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and professionalism in previous roles

Pay: £13.49-£21.00 per hour
