Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent vehicle standards. This role offers an opportunity to work with a dedicated team in a dynamic environment, contributing to the efficient operation of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate lorries and other to transport goods to designated locations.
• Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to legal driving hours and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Secure cargo properly on the when needed to prevent movement or damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle logs in compliance with company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays.
• Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, health and safety regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C+E (or equivalent) driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with flatbed lorry operations.
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for freight transportation.
• Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with dispatch teams and clients.

Pay: Up to £53,000.00 per year
