Class 1 HGV Driver – Low Loader / Powered Access Transport

( 4 NIGHTS OUT REQUIRED)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday – TRAMPING

Days: £18.00 per hour (PAYE)

Holiday: Paid – 20 days + bank holidays

Job Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Class 1 HGV Driver (Category C+E) for work within a Powered Access Transport Division.

The role involves operating low loaders to deliver and collect high-value powered access equipment across the UK. This is a professional transport role requiring accuracy, safety awareness, and strong customer service standards.

Candidates should have experience in low loader work, plant transport, or vehicle recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Safe loading and unloading of powered access machinery
• Securing loads in line with company and legal requirements
• Nationwide delivery and collection of equipment using low loader vehicles
• Customer handovers, including basic machine demonstration where required
• Daily vehicle checks and full compliance with safety regulations
• Accurate completion of all paperwork and delivery documentation
• Represent the company professionally on all customer sites

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Previous experience in low loader, plant transport, or vehicle recovery preferred
• IPAF certification desirable (training available if needed)
• Strong understanding of health & safety procedures
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, professional, and safety-focused attitude
