HGV Class 1 HIAB Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV class 1 HIAB lorry Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting containers efficiently and safely across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries/collections. Duties

• Operate HIAB lorries for the transportation of containers to various locations within the region.
• Ensure all deliveries/collections are completed accurately and on schedule, maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is safe and roadworthy.
• Secure loads properly using appropriate equipment to prevent movement during transit.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries/collections and vehicle maintenance reports.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery/collection schedules or any issues encountered.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Class 1 HGV commercial driver.
• ALLMI certification
• Valid UK Class 1 driving licence with a clean driving record.
• Experience with HIAB lorries.
• Ability to travel to and from work.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for secure load handling.
• Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during routes.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.
