HGV Class 1 Milk Reload Driver

WM Armstrong is recruiting HGV Milk Reload Drivers to join our Milk Operations team in Carnforth. We’re a long‑established, family‑run business known for our strong safety culture, teamwork, and supportive working environment.

Pay & Benefits

• Dayshift day rate: £144.00 (equivalent to £14.40 per hour)*
• Overtime dayshift day rate: £170.40 (equivalent to £17.04 per hour)*
• Nightshift day rate: £156.60 (equivalent to £15.66 per hour)*
• Overtime nightshift rate: £185.00 (equivalent to £18.50 per hour)*

About the job

As a Milk Reload Driver, you will play a key role in transporting bulk milk via tanker to dairies across England and Wales, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry regulations. You will uphold the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain effective communication with the operations team to support smooth and reliable service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 or Class 2 milk tanker vehicles
• Deliver bulk milk to dairies on behalf of our customers
• Follow all procedures for milk collection, delivery, and handling
• Carry out required sampling, checks, and food safety procedures
• Maintain regular communication with the operations team
• Deliver a professional and courteous service to customers
• Support other areas of the business as required
• Attend ongoing training to maintain skills and compliance
