HGV Class 1 Night Driver (Full Tme)

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while delivering goods to various locations. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting materials using a fridge lorry, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills and a dedication to maintaining high standards of vehicle care.

Duties

• Operate a Fridge lorry to transport goods safely and efficiently (Multidrop).
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transit.
• Communicate with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations while on the road.

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving.
• Strong driving skills with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
