HGV Class 1 Night Trunk Driver

Overview
We are seeking an experienced Class 1 night driver to join our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This is a trunking role, doing the same run each night. Starting in Widnes each night, you will take a loaded trailer to Burton-on-Trent, tip and reload, and then back to Widnes. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday with 6pm start times. Average shift duration is 10 to 12 hours per night, but could be shorter dependent on volumes at the hub. This role requires a valid commercial driving licence and up to date CPC.

Duties

• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Night trunking to and from Burton on Trent
• Load and secure cargo, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and complete necessary paperwork for each trip.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies while driving.

Skills

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
• Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for interaction with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.

• a yearly salary of £40,000(paid monthly) plus a conditional bonus of £150 per month paid in addition to the monthly salary providing all conditions are met. Realistic yearly earnings of £41,800
