HGV Class 1 Tramper (Full Time)

Job Title: Class 1 Tramper Driver – Middlewich, Cheshire

Location: Middlewich, CW10 0LE

Salary £51,000-£55,000

Pay:

• £15.00/hr basic pay (first 45 hours)
• £16.00/hr overtime (after 45 hours)
• £20.00 hr Weekend
• £25.00 per night out (tax-free, typically 2–4 nights per week}
• Annual equivalent: up to £55,000, depending on hours and nights away

Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Shifts: Monday to Friday (weekends optional and paid at enhanced rate)

About the Role

POW LOGISTICS are a family-run haulage company based in Middlewich, and we’re looking for experienced Class 1 Tramper Drivers to join our growing team.
You’ll operate modern, well-maintained units, mainly pulling tautliner or Bulk tipping trailers nationwide. This is a full-time, stable role offering great rates, consistent work, and a respectful team environment — not just another number on a rota.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles and ensure compliance with road transport legislation
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and on time
• Maintain communication with the transport office for updates and instructions
• Check and secure loads for safe transportation
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Represent the company professionally at all times

Experience & Qualifications Required

• Valid C+E (Class 1) licence
• Valid CPC card and digital tachograph
• Maximum of 6 points on your licence (no DR or IN codes)
• Previous tramping or general haulage experience preferred
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service
• Experience on Class 1 Tippers
