HGV Class 2 Multi-Drop Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various destinations, usually within the SA Postcode area, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high standards of safety and customer service. Duties

• Operate rigid commercial vehicles in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Load and unload goods securely, ensuring the integrity of cargo during transit.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after journeys, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen delays.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience as a commercial multi-drop driver
• Demonstrable driving skills with a driving licence, less than 6 points, suitable for operating large vehicles.
• Previous experience in delivery roles is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of route planning and time management.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and compliance requirements for commercial driving.
• Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures is advantageous but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals committed to safe driving practices and excellent customer service, seeking a rewarding career in logistics and transportation.
