HGV Class 2 Roll-on-off driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Roll-on-off driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for exchange, collection and delivery roll-on/roll-off containers efficiently and safely. This role requires a dedicated individual with experience in commercial driving, particularly with delivery operations involving large vehicles. The position offers an excellent opportunity for drivers looking to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment, ensuring timely and secure transportation of goods.

Duties

• Operate HGV Class 2 lorry from our yard within a 150 mile radius.
• Safely load and unload containers using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are maintained.
• Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during transit.
• Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while maintaining compliance with legal driving hours.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports.

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience as a commercial driver, experience with roll-on/roll-off beneficial but not necessary.
• Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.
• Good communication skills to liaise with team members and clients professionally.

• £15.50 p/h first 45 hours per week. £16.50 p/h overtime.
