HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver

Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable class 2 tipper driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting materials across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. Duties

• Operate commercial vehicles, including tipper wagons, in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Deliver materials to specified locations efficiently and punctually, adhering to scheduled routes and deadlines
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring proper securing of loads for safety during transit
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and yard personnel regarding delivery schedules or any issues encountered during transit
• Follow all health and safety procedures to minimise risks on the road and at delivery sites

Requirements

• Valid cat C driver’s licence with a clean driving record
• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a HGV delivery driver or similar role
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems is advantageous
• Experience operating 32 tonne tipper lorries or similar large vehicles preferred
• Waste transfer station or builders yard experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with loading/unloading procedures
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients
• Ability to navigate using GPS devices and map reading skills
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently on busy schedules

Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to safety, reliability, and professionalism. Prior experience in driving within logistics or freight sectors will be highly regarded.

Pay: Up to £16.50 per hour
