HGV Concrete Volumetric Mixer Drivers

We are currently looking for HGV drivers with Class 2 licenses with 2+ years’ experience and Driver’s CPC. Working from our Thatcham depot, we have positions for HGV drivers to drive and operate our fleet volumetric concrete mixer trucks.

Job Description

We’re seeking professional and committed concrete mixer drivers, working as part of the team here at Axtell. A history of good attendance and reliability to deliver ready mix concrete to construction sites and private addresses from our depot and plant in Thatcham, Berkshire.

HGV Driver Experience

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of ready mix concrete to private and company locations.

• Have a digital-tacho card and driver CPC
• Be reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
• Have a great attitude and strong work ethic
• Be capable and confident in your ability
• Have a good geographical knowledge of our operating area
• Be a holder of a relevant operator’s card would be an advantage

Volumetric Concrete Driver – Thatcham Depot

• Delivering, batching, and pouring concrete
• Operating mixer (full training can be given)
• Loading mixer with loading shovel (full training can be given)
• Be capable of operating machinery and carrying out routine vehicle checks
• Making sure that the load is correctly secured by use of an easy sheet
• Issuing receipts
• Customer service
