HGV Driver

Duties

• HGV Class 2 lorry / Refuse
• Safely load, secure, and unload goods using appropriate equipment and techniques
• Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedules whilst maintaining safety standards
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
• Assist with the loading and unloading process when required, ensuring goods are handled with care
• Adhere to company policies regarding driving hours, tachograph regulations, and health & safety procedures

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment
• Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and punctuality
• Knowledge of road networks within the region and ability to navigate efficiently
• Valid Category C (HGV Class 2) licence with no serious endorsements or restrictions
• Familiarity with health & safety standards related to freight transportation and vehicle operation
• Ability to handle physically demanding tasks associated with loading/unloading cargo
