Woodbox Ltd is a fast-growing timber and building supplies business based in Winchester, supplying quality timber products across the South of England.

We’re looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 & Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our growing team and become a key part of the business as we continue to expand.

Led by a Managing Director with over 25 years of business experience, Woodbox Ltd may be a newly established company, but we’re already building strong momentum with a busy workload and ambitious plans for growth. This is an exciting opportunity to join us at an early stage and grow with the business long term.

The Role

You’ll be driving a Scania vehicle delivering timber and building materials to commercial customers and construction sites.

Typical duties include:

• Delivering timber and building products across the South of England
• Occasional Midlands deliveries
• Completing approximately 3–6 drops per day
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Securing loads safely and operating in line with transport regulations
• Planning routes efficiently using road knowledge and sat nav systems
• Supporting with loading/unloading when required (minimal handball)
• Representing Woodbox professionally at all times

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Valid UK Class 1 (Category C+E) licence
• Minimum 3 years’ Class 1 and/or Class 2 driving experience
• Valid CPC qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Experience delivering to commercial or construction sites
• Strong understanding of road safety and driver regulations
• Reliable, professional, and team-focused attitude

Advantageous but not essential:

• Timber or builders merchant experience
• Experience with building materials or construction deliveries
