HGV Driver - Class1 Skips, Hooks and Trade Waste

North West Recycling, Cumbria’s leading waste management supplier are actively recruiting for a HGV Driver - Class1 Skips, Hooks and Trade Waste to join our expanding team.

We employ over 120 staff, operate over 40 vehicles, and deploy over 3000 skips and containers from our 30-acre purpose-built waste management, skip hire and recycling facility near Carlisle, in Cumbria.

As a family run business, we are committed to helping our customers and partners to better, more sustainably, manage their waste. Our aim is to fully close the circular journey of the waste produced, through our ability to manage the entire process – skip hire and business waste collection through to recycling and full material recovery.

The Role

We are currently looking to hire newly qualified or experienced Class 1 Drivers to work within our existing transport team. Due to the nature of the business, the ideal candidate would be willing to work on skips, hooks and trade waste. Training can be provided.

Qualifications and Skills

• Valid Driver CPC (essential)
• Health and safety awareness (essential)
• A maximum of 6 points or less on their licence (No DR, DD, CD or IN codes)
• Excellent command of the English language
• Good Customer Service Skills

The Package

The role attracts an hourly rate of £17.50.

We benefit from having an up-to-date fleet of vehicles and we offer regular CPC courses.

20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays. An additional days holiday for every year of service up to 10 days.
