Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various routes. Responsibilities

• Safely operate flatbed lorries and other commercial vehicles to transport goods to specified destinations
• Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times and fuel efficiency
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working order
• Secure cargo properly on the flatbed to prevent movement during transit
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any unforeseen delays
• Adhere strictly to all road safety laws, traffic regulations, and company policies during operations
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo when necessary, ensuring proper handling procedures are followed

Experience

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or commercial driver, preferably with flatbed vehicles
• Demonstrable knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards within the UK
• Experience in handling cargo securely on flatbeds or similar vehicles is desirable
• Prior experience in delivery driving, demonstrating punctuality and reliability
• Valid driving licence suitable for commercial vehicle operation, including any necessary certifications for flatbed driving or specialised loads
