Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate needs to be able to drive a 18 ton Skip lorry and 32 ton tipper lorry and hook loader and will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while representing the company positively in all interactions.
• Ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained at all times.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar commercial driving role is preferred.
• Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous.
• A valid commercial driving licence minimum class 2
• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for safe driving.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role.
