Job Description

HomeworkCoach is seeking experienced educators for an 11th-grade student who needs both Advanced Algebra tutoring and Executive Function (ADHD) coaching support.

We are open to candidates who specialize in one or both:

• Advanced Algebra tutoring
• Executive Function / ADHD coaching
• Or both

The student is bright but currently failing multiple classes due to missing assignments and difficulty initiating work. She struggles with perfectionism and task avoidance, often delaying or not submitting assignments unless they feel “perfect.” She also needs structured academic support to rebuild understanding in Advanced Algebra after falling behind earlier in the year.

The family’s goal is to provide consistent support to improve grades, strengthen executive functioning, and avoid summer school if possible.

Executive Function / ADHD Support:
Support organization, planning, task initiation, and assignment completion
Provide structured accountability and follow-through
Help reduce perfectionism-related avoidance

Advanced Algebra Support:
Reteach foundational algebra concepts
Guide step-by-step problem solving
Strengthen confidence and conceptual understanding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Experience with high school students preferred
• ADHD / Executive Function experience strongly preferred for coaching role
• Strong Advanced Algebra background required for math role
• Reliable, structured, and communicative
