Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Duties)

  • Teach high school Theology courses in alignment with the Catholic tradition and the mission of the school
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Theology lessons using a variety of instructional strategies
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that promote understanding of Catholic doctrine, scripture, and moral teachings
  • Assess and evaluate student learning through assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams
  • Maintain accurate and timely classroom records, including grades, attendance, and student progress
  • Foster a respectful, faith-centered classroom environment that supports student growth and reflection
  • Integrate instructional resources such as textbooks, whiteboards, technology, and hands-on materials
  • Collaborate with colleagues in planning, curriculum development, and professional meetings
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and expectations
  • Participate in school-wide events, liturgies, and activities that support the Catholic identity of the school
  • Attend required faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and parent conferences

Qualifications and Experience

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Theology from a Catholic institution
  • Preferred:
  • Teaching experience in a Catholic high school setting
  • Coursework or formation in Catholic doctrine, scripture, or moral theology
  • Experience integrating faith, service, and reflection into classroom instruction
  • Additional Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
  • Commitment to holding high academic, behavioral, and faith-based expectations for all students
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to manage and execute multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong classroom management and instructional skills in a secondary school setting
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a mission-driven school culture
  • Openness to ongoing professional growth and formation

Salary is based on a pay scale and number of years of teaching experience.

PA required clearances and Safe Environment Certification, and official transcripts will be required before employment can begin.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,400.00 - $52,000.00 per year
