High School Chemistry Teacher (AP)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching various subjects, including Mathematics and Science, and will be committed to fostering a positive learning environment. This role requires effective classroom management, lesson planning, and the ability to engage students in their academic journey.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards for subjects such as Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Trigonometry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, and Molecular Biology.
• Utilize learning technology and instructional design techniques to enhance student understanding and retention of material.
• Conduct classroom management to maintain a conducive learning environment while addressing diverse student needs, including those requiring special education support.
• Provide tutoring and mentoring to students to support their academic growth and confidence.
• Assess student performance through standardized testing and other evaluation methods; provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and educational strategies that promote student success.
• Engage in scientific research projects and laboratory experiences that enrich the curriculum and provide hands-on learning opportunities for students.
• Participate in academic advising and behavior management initiatives to support student well-being.

Experience

• Proven experience working with high school students in an educational setting is essential.
• Familiarity with classroom experience, lesson planning, proofreading, and academic advising is highly valued.
• Background in higher education teaching or private school experience is a plus.
• Strong communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff members.
• Experience in research laboratory environments or scientific research is beneficial for teaching advanced science courses.
• Knowledge of Montessori methods or education administration can enhance the teaching approach within our institution. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is ready to make a difference in the lives of high school students through innovative teaching practices and dedicated support.
