High School Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas.
• Maintain floors through buffing and polishing to ensure they are clean and presentable.
• Handle janitorial duties such as emptying trash bins, sanitizing restrooms, and replenishing supplies.
• Conduct industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
• Provide porter services by transporting items as required within the facility.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Experience

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and floor care techniques is advantageous.
• Experience in residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning methods will be beneficial for this role.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $27,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
