High School English Teacher

We are seeking an experienced and passionate English teacher with a strong background in U.S. high school education. The ideal candidate will have over seven years of teaching experience in American high schools, with expertise in teaching AP English Language and Composition. The teacher should be committed to enhancing students’ reading comprehension, critical thinking, and writing skills, while tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach AP English Language and Composition in alignment with College Board standards.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and a comprehensive curriculum that fosters strong reading and writing skills.
• Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and feedback, providing targeted support for improvement.
• Design individualized learning strategies and course outlines based on students’ academic levels and goals.
• Foster a classroom environment that encourages participation, creativity, and academic growth.
• Collaborate with faculty, parents, and academic advisors to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of teaching experience in U.S. high schools.
• Proven expertise in teaching AP English Language and Composition.
• Strong ability to help students improve writing proficiency, analytical reading, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated skill in designing customized curricula and adapting teaching methods to diverse learners.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid U.S. teaching certification is highly desirable.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
