- Must be qualified and certified to teach in the State of Michigan and possess the necessary educational background and certification for the position as determined by the District.
- Current endorsement in English (BA or BX); special consideration may be given for dual certification.
- Be willing and able to deliver effective classroom instruction that results in student learning and growth.
- Possess excellent classroom management skills.
- Possess a strong desire to work with high school aged students and their parents.
- Be willing to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activies including staff development, curriculum development and clubs.
- Embrace the District Vision Statement.
- Be willing to work as part of a building team for the improvement of instruction and to produce successful learners.
- Be open to continuous change and improvement.
- Be an excellent communicator with students, parents and colleagues.
