High School Humanities Teacher [Bilingual - Mandarin]

Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and bilingual High School Humanities Teacher fluent in both Mandarin and English to join our expanding academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English Language Arts and/or Social Studies at the high school level, with proven success in preparing students for standardized exams such as the SAT and TOEFL.

This role requires subject expertise, cross-cultural communication skills, and a passion for supporting bilingual learners in building critical thinking skills, academic confidence, and cultural literacy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver English Language Arts and/or Social Studies courses aligned with U.S. high school standards to bilingual high school students.
  • Create interactive, culturally responsive lesson plans that promote subject mastery while enhancing English language skills.
  • Provide targeted SAT Reading/Writing and/or TOEFL instruction, focusing on reading comprehension, academic writing, grammar, and vocabulary.
  • Cultivate an inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and encourages cultural understanding.
  • Use diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to track student achievement and provide personalized feedback.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, History, Education, Social Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of high school teaching experience
  • Bilingual fluency in Mandarin and English
  • Experience teaching SAT and/or TOEFL preparation courses
  • Strong classroom management and lesson-planning skills
  • Familiarity with U.S. high school curriculum standards and assessment methods
  • Commitment to academic excellence and culturally responsive teaching

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid state teaching credential or subject certification (preferred but not required)
  • Experience working with ESL, bilingual, or international students
  • Knowledge of AP-level curriculum and exam requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $6,000.00 per month
