High School Mathematics Teacher – Algebra I & Pre-Calculus

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for Algebra I and Pre-Calculus courses.
• Deliver engaging lectures that clarify complex mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, differential equations, and proof techniques.
• Create assessments, quizzes, and standardized tests to evaluate student understanding and progress.
• Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning.
• Provide individualized tutoring and academic advising to support diverse student needs, including those in special education programs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school-wide initiatives to improve educational outcomes.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and molecular biology concepts.
• Experience with curriculum development and instructional design tailored to high school learners.
• Proficiency in integrating learning technology into classroom activities for enhanced engagement.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex topics such as organic chemistry, genetics, microbiology, and scientific research methods.
• Classroom management expertise to maintain an organized and disciplined learning environment.
• Ability to assess student performance through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
• Prior experience working with students of varying abilities, including those requiring special education accommodations or behavioral management strategies. Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,798.65 per year
