Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic High School Mathematics Teacher specializing in Algebra I and Pre-Calculus to inspire and educate students in a vibrant learning environment. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for Algebra I and Pre-Calculus courses.
- Deliver engaging lectures that clarify complex mathematical concepts including geometry, trigonometry, differential equations, and proof techniques.
- Create assessments, quizzes, and standardized tests to evaluate student understanding and progress.
- Incorporate learning technology tools to enhance instruction and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to foster a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning.
- Provide individualized tutoring and academic advising to support diverse student needs, including those in special education programs.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, instructional design, and school-wide initiatives to improve educational outcomes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry, trigonometry, calculus, discrete math, and molecular biology concepts.
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional design tailored to high school learners.
- Proficiency in integrating learning technology into classroom activities for enhanced engagement.
- Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex topics such as organic chemistry, genetics, microbiology, and scientific research methods.
- Classroom management expertise to maintain an organized and disciplined learning environment.
- Ability to assess student performance through standardized testing and provide constructive feedback.
- Prior experience working with students of varying abilities, including those requiring special education accommodations or behavioral management strategies.
