    Position Summary:
    We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Summer School Teachers to join our 2026 summer program. This role focuses on supporting students in core content areas such as English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies. Teachers will deliver targeted instruction to help students recover credits, strengthen foundational skills, and prepare for the next academic level. Positions are contingent on student enrollment and will be filled in accordance with district contractual guidelines.
    Qualifications:
    For Certified Teachers:
    • Valid Professional Educator's License (PEL) with appropriate content area endorsements (e.g., Math, Science, English, Social Studies).

    For Instructors (Non-Certified Teachers):
    Bachelor's Degree in a related subject area.
    • Valid Substitute Teaching Certification.
    • Active enrollment in an approved educator licensure program.

    Performance Responsibilities:
    Provide rigorous instruction aligned with secondary content standards and course requirements.
    • Plan and deliver lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and real-world application.
    • Maintain accurate daily attendance records and submit reports in a timely manner.
    • Track, analyze, and report student progress and performance data.
    • Incorporate a service learning component that connects course content to community-based experiences.
    • Supervise and participate in two field trip opportunities during the week of July 4, 2026, linking them to curricular goals.
    • Support credit recovery, enrichment, and readiness for the next grade level or course sequence.
    • Foster a respectful and engaging learning environment for adolescent learners.
    • Communicate effectively with students, families, and school staff.

    Note:

    All positions are based on student enrollment and subject to district staffing guidelines as defined in the collective bargaining agreement.
