<Responsibilities>

• Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative learning technology and diverse teaching methods.
• Deliver engaging instruction across subjects such as Math (including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus), Science, English (including Creative Writing), and Physical Education.
• Assess student progress through standardized testing, formative assessments, and project-based evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques to create a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Mentor students academically and personally, offering guidance on college preparation, academic advising, and career exploration.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, sports coaching activities, and extracurricular programs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming opportunities through conferences and written reports.
• Incorporate special education strategies when working with students with diverse learning needs; utilize library services and childhood development principles to enhance educational experiences.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, lesson plans, and other administrative documentation required by education standards.

<Experience>

• Prior classroom experience in high school settings is essential; experience in private or Montessori schools is a plus.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching core subjects such as Math (including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus) and Literacy Education.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development principles along with familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style and AP style for English instruction.
• Proven ability to utilize learning technology tools effectively to enhance student engagement and understanding.
• Experience in tutoring students for standardized tests or college entrance exams is advantageous.
• Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster respectful behavior and active participation among students.
• Excellent communication skills for public speaking, parent interactions, and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of special education practices and behavior management strategies to support all learners.
